Traditional pub in Shavington adjacent to the village Coop. The Vine was fully refurbished inside and out in 2024. There are 3 internal rooms, including the main bar area. The main bar area has two dart boards and all football broadcast by Sky is shown, one of the smaller rooms has an traditional open fire, and all rooms have televisions. One of the smaller rooms can be used as a quiet room if required and is suitable for functions. There is a family-friendly, fully enclosed beer garden and further outdoor seating. A quiz night is held every Wednesday at 20:00 and there is occasional live music throughout the year. At Easter and on the August Bank Holiday the Vine is host to well-supported music festivals featuring local bands. Four hand pumps supply a variety of real ales on a rotational basis with one usually kept for beer from a local brewery. The Vine has its own, popular external food outlet serving breakfasts and lunch. On a Friday and Saturday service is extended into the evenings and customers are welcome to either take food home with them or take it into the pub.
