See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
A traditional Inn dated to 17th century (1664, built twenty years after the Great Battle of Nantwich 26th January 1644), this Black and White fronted pub stands among the historic buildings of Welsh Row a beautiful plaster and wooden beamed interior with the expected bowed walls and creaking floorboards. An open fire welcomes you into an open plan area which, in the past, would have been three separate rooms. Covered beer garden to side with additional small room (Hop Room with Hop vines on ceiling) with pot-bellied type stove for heating. Restaurant upstairs. Local beers from Weetwood.
