See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Originally a 19c watermill. The upper reaches of the River Weaver run alongside. It was converted into a pub [free house] in 1970. Subsequently bought by Robinson's Brewery, Stockport. Closed for extensive refurbishment and re-opened at Easter, 2011. Next to Bridge 20 on the nearby Llangollen Canal. A Grade II listed structure, bridge 20 is one of Thomas Telford's designed lift bridges.[there are two more manually operated Telford single span bridges in Wrenbury], which has been modified to take modern road traffic and became electrically operated in 20th century. The modern renovation and extension of the pub includes extensive use of wood in the interiors.
