May 2024. Pub closed but the B&B still functioning.

Update October 2025: A planning application/enquiry was submitted 10/04/2025 to ascertain if the premises could be changed to residential under Permitted Development Rights. A part of the planning response refusing this stated 'The existing lawful use of the building subject of this application is as a public house (Sui Generis). It is noted from an inspection of the planning history of the site that there has always been an ancillary use here consisting of a bed and breakfast.'

Of concern should be the application and covering covering letter from the applicants stating the existing use being 'Guest House, previously Public House until 2016' and 'The pub has been permanently closed since 10th December 2016', but it is evident from social media posts that it was running as a pub (with cask ale on handpumps) until the end of 2022 at least.
